Timothy Bolton

Hi, I'm Timothy. I build things that should already exist.

Husband to a working DVM. Father to three beautiful boys. Thirty-plus years of doing every job in a small business — and quietly fixing the software that couldn't keep up.

I've built the websites. Run the Google, Facebook, and Instagram ads. Kept the books. Wired the electronics. Negotiated the contracts and written the business plans. Edited the videos. Read the analytics. Pulled apart enough Microsoft products to last a lifetime, and learned the next one anyway. I learned all of it the only honest way: by being the one who had to.

Three decades of that taught me something simple. The tools small businesses depend on don't talk to each other, and the owner ends up doing all the translating. So I started building the tools that should have existed all along.

Two of those tools are below. One is for clinicians my wife loves and the industry has forgotten. The other is for anyone who ever finished a course and realized they hadn't actually learned a thing.

What I'm building

With my wife, Dr. Rosemary

Veterinary medicine, powered by Dr. Rosie AI. Free answers for pet parents, AI-first practice management for clinics, and RACE-approved CE that follows the vet — not the clinic. 787,000+ peer-reviewed sources. Built in a kitchen, not a boardroom. No investors, no sales team, no per-seat tax.

A learning platform that actually checks

Most online courses hand out certificates the moment you finish the videos. Forge doesn't. It's an adaptive, mastery-based platform built on Socratic dialogue and real verification — 18 research-backed paths across leadership, public speaking, financial literacy, AI, critical thinking, and more. You don't graduate until you've actually proved you can do it.

Why I do this

I don't build for investors. I build because I've watched too many good people — vets, teachers, parents, small-business owners — be the smartest person in their building and still get worn down by software that wasn't designed for them.

My wife spent 25 years in clinical practice watching corporate consolidation chip away at what made veterinary medicine special. My kids deserve to grow up learning things that stick. I have the unusual privilege of being able to actually build the answer in both directions.

So that's what I'm doing. One product helps a working DVM run her clinic the way she always wanted to. The other helps anyone — kid or adult — build a skill they can prove. Same instinct behind both: do the work, and put the tool in the hands of the person who actually needs it.
